I went to COOP to ship a box (banana carton size box) and it was about 750 kr to NYC, US!! This seemed really crazy as I had shipped lots of stuff across the US after finishing college for not a lot of money! If you’re going to ship things from Sweden, you need to know two things: 1) the price is based on weight, not size, 2) they do not ship by boat, only air. Both of these things, especially the last, makes things very pricey. If I was going to ship the same package across Sweden I think it would have cost about 550 kr, which isn’t THAT much cheaper, so I didn’t feel so taken advantage of. But at least can always be worse- I don’t collect rocks 🙂
