A week in Sri Lanka

- in Nyheter

During the month of Ramadan  in the Maldives, daily working hours were cut short and workers got to leave from their jobs a few hours early every day. It was not only a month of less working hours, but also a month of lower productivity caused by fasting fatigue. So my coworker and I decided to take this chance to travel to Sri Lanka for a week. Below are some photos from our trip:

Our adorable host in Kandy. I was really tempted to fit her in a suitcase to bring her back with me.

A fresh tea leaf. The middle lead is known as the Silver Tip, is used to make white tea.

A lifetime supply of spices.

It’s common to find chickens and cows roaming the streets of Sri Lanka.
Take a road trip in Sri Lanka and you will find plenty of street vendors selling an array of goods and food on the sides of the roads.
