At the same time, both fans and critics can be apprehensive to accept a sharp shift in the image or music of an artist as it breaks the previously established norms or their craft. Andrew Murnane takes a deep dive into some of the mercurial acts from Ireland and Great Britain through the lens of the British band Black Country, New Road.

New study: Biases lead researchers to different results

Different conclusions can arise from identical data, a recent Biomedical Center (BMC) biology study reveals. Jessica Abbott, professor of biodiversity and evolution at Lund University, contributed in the study. Her analysis revealed a clear pattern, while others found different results. The study raises important questions about the reliability of scientific results. Can we really trust them?

Untangling the geopolitics of Öresund at Malmö konsthall

The exhibition ”Torrlägg Öresund” (Drain the Öresund), currently on view at Malmö Konsthall, explores the historical, political, economic, and ecological layers of the Öresund Strait. Bringing together fourteen artists from Malmö and Copenhagen, all exhibiting at the Konsthall for the first time, the show uncovers hidden local narratives while situating them within a global context.

Lund students want to go to Brussels – the EU academy is growing

Although the European Union (EU) is a large organization with over 60 000 employees across its different institutions, only around 1 200 of them are Swedish. However, in Lund the situation looks different. The EU academy has grown rapidly in popularity, proving that there is a strong interest in the EU amongst students in Lund.
