Today, May 22, the stars have literally aligned, and this year’s Celestial Carnival promises something both heavenly and extraterrestrial. The entry gates open at 12 o’clock.

AI use suspected in Lund University doctoral thesis

Recently, a researcher at Lund University got reprimanded after their doctoral thesis was flagged for AI use. The researcher, who claimed to not have used any AI tools, is allowed to keep the doctoral title despite the conviction for research misconduct.

Vegan university? LUNA first student union to endorse plant-based transition

This year, Lund University ranked first in sustainability in the QS World University Rankings. Plant-based Campus, a student-led organization, has been advocating for plant-based catering and is now building on this opportunity to implement their vision on a university-wide scale. LUNA, the Science Student Union, has recently become the first student union to support this transition, setting a precedent for others to follow suit.

Record number of international students apply to Lund University

A report from the Swedish Council for Higher Education (UHR) shows that international applicants to master’s programmes in Sweden have reached an all-time high for the autumn term of 2026. Lund University (LU) is seeing the same upward trend.
