This morning’s excursion with my Decentralized Water and Wastewater Treatment class to this early ’90s ecovillage was fun despite the cold drizzle. Apparently this is one of many such ecovillage communities in Sweden, and just another reason why Sweden is amazing. I don’t think we have many in the US though our population is much larger. quite a shame. The general purpose of our trip was the evaluate the community, specifically the water and wastewater systems. On another note, the simple addition of grass and shrubs makes such a great difference to a community. If only city planners could remember this in our concrete jungles…
