Adventures in Turning Torso

- in Nyheter

Today I went IN the Turning Torso.  Not next to, IN.  I’m tempted to say ON, because the biogas seminar was on the top floor (#54), but that wouldn’t be technically accurate.  It’s funny, the building always looks HUGE far away but gets smaller the closer I am… is it because of the flat landscape or maybe I just need to get a new contact prescription…  Anyhow, thank goodness we had a break from the rain, because the view was great- sorry I didn’t take pictures to post.  Everything was super sleek- the toilets looked like mini space ship pods- white and shiny and egg-shaped.  It felt wrong to use them for their intended purpose.

The windows in the model flat look like the round ones on ships but were 3D like a cone/step pyramid.  I observed many small but thick-legged black spiders weaving their homes near the edges of these windows.  AMAZING!  You’d think it’d be too windy up there, but I guess spider webbing is really one of the strongest materials in the world.  Don’t quote me, check Wikipedia.
