Apparently Sweden has an important history in the field of glass-making, which I didn’t know until one of my Fulbright colleagues told me. It’s quite interesting and now I want to visit toe ’city of glass’, located somewhere between Vaxjo and Nibro (sorry, too lazy to check the spelling or copy accents). There is a big festival there the weekend of April 16th, where apparently you can buy glass not sold outside of the area, etc. In my travels I have carried pint glasses and heavy tumblers as souvenirs back to the US and THAT was a pain, I can’t imagine how I could do it with many fancy bowls, glasses, etc.!!
