An international students’ guide to summer in Skåne

Summer in Sweden is well known for a reason – you cannot scroll Instagram or TikTok without seeing pictures of lovely white beaches and flower-clad midsummer celebrations. But when spring term ends and the last exam is written, it can be hard to know where to start, especially for exchange students. Thankfully, Lundagård's Anabel Schüler has put together the perfect list of recommendations for those wanting to explore Skåne this summer.

What’s going on at the sick bay?

On the last day of Celestialkarnevalen, Lundagård spoke to chief medical officer Oscar van der Have to hear how he reflects on the carnival weekend. Under the last rays of warm Swedish sun, he looks back on his team’s efforts with pride and contentment.

Monica, 81: ”it gets worse every year”

Over the past few days, Celestialkarnevalen has seen a vibrant mix of all kinds of carnival-goers. Some are getting to experience the magic of the carnival for the very first time, while others loyally return every four years to relive the joy of this three-day spectacle. Lundagård interviewed some of the carnival’s most seasoned visitors.

An exclusive peek into the VIP section of Lundakarnevalen

The VIP section of Celestialkarnevalen has acquired a near-mythical reputation over the course of the carnival days. With only a very select number of individuals having access to this secluded area, nestled in AF-borgen, one couldn’t help but wonder what a true VIP experience at the carnival looks like. Lundagård was invited to come see how the carni-VIP’s celebrated this special weekend.
